clubbing

I can't decide if I want to go out tonight. I was out last night until dawn with Trish and Kim and had a lot of fun so do I really want to go out again tonight? I didn't get much accomplished today except for going to the bank again to put an end to my ongoing problems (yet somehow I don't think they are over), had some munchies at the Vine Yard, went to the grocery store, then came back here and puttered at things like fixing my shoe.

This is the funniest thing I've seen since Bill Gate's "640 K" quote:

So I talked Evilyn into going to Isaac's new night at 23 West (tentatively named "Netherworld") because I wanted to drink, damnit. I had my usual warm-up quadruple Bombay and tonic as she was on her way over and we headed to Gastown. Because she was still sleep-deprived from her camping trip she wanted coffee so we parked and went to the Starbucks by the steam clock. She got a venti frappuccino, which is pretty much a coffee-slurpie - they're huge. I got my usual double tall latté - doubles are so much more efficient...

I rejoined Corpgoth on Yahoogroups and posted a general question about the livability of Houston and got some immediate responses. It doesn't seem like such a bad place at all. The clubs are air conditioned and they have an underground tunnel system downtown so you can stay out of the heat. From the salary survey information I could find I am worth about $85 - $90K there. No state taxes, low income tax. At this point it is just a question of what kind of offer I will get. And of course I don't have the luxury of being quite as choosy now, thanks to the dot.bomb and the plummeting market.
