A day that didn't suck! The morning flew by, followed by a two hour strategy meeting that not only took two hours out of the day, but was in fact useful, followed by some coding that was actually interesting. Go figure.
This leads me to on observation. The amount of coffee I drink is inversely proportional to how interesting the day is. Yesterday, for example, which was a completely sucky in its oppressive Mondayness, I drank my usual quadruple-latté at home followed by no less than three litres of office coffee. Today I had the latté and only one litre of coffee at work (which is about my minimum daily consumption).
Then I left the office in a chipper mood having actually accomplished something interesting. As I walked along Burrard on the way home I spotted a terribly pretty girl sitting at an empty bus stop having a smoke. Well, turns out I know this particular girl - it was Nicole (the nice one, not the ad-in-the-West-Ender-whore one). She was taking a break from work. We chatted for a bit while she finished her smoke and then I was off on my even merrier way.
I invested $2 in the Granville Island ferry again. The sun had come out and it was windy. There were kayakers and rowers on the creek and it felt just perfect. I cut through the market as all the merchants were closing up and practically skipped the last few hundred metres home. Yay!
