December 1988. Malaspina College art school days. A friend had the gig taking Santa photos at one of the 327 malls in Nanaimo at the time and my girlfriend and I went to bug him. Look closely: Santa is *ahem* not looking at the camera. #tbt

The Stygian witches ate human flesh. Try to put Vidma in this particular cave when it isn't her idea and she will attempt to live up to her namesakes beyond just having one eye.

I'm nowhere near happy with it yet, but I'm not flummoxed anymore. The light that is coming from the lower left is messing with my head and making it really hard to just trust what I'm seeing over invasive proscriptive thoughts about how I want the shadows on a nose to work. Literally changing how I was approaching the easel made a big difference.
