I just got a call from a recruiter looking for a developer for HSBC. Given my history with them I really doubt I have a shot, nor would I really want it, but I'm glad my résumé is getting nibbles. Once they start they keep coming.

Can someone confirm for me that the above is the correct spelling and idiom for the equivalent to "Welcome to Siberia"?
