I didn't use the open-source wiki code in favour of writing something a little different from scratch. A "normal" wiki uses some funky markup methods preculiar to the application that requires a bit of a learning curve. I wanted something a little more standards-based and chose to go with HTML markup standards for things like bold, italic, underlines, etc. so people wouldn't have to learn a new syntax. I've called my not-really-a-wiki "Xanadu" (no, it's not an Olivia Newton John reference)
What I'm looking for now is for a few people to go and try it out before I make it part of the site next month. Right now it is living on my POS backup/development server which is a frighteningly ancient bit of hardware (even worse that the main server) so it may slow down from time to time or be off entirely.
Go play here [ http://www.gothic.bc.ca:81/gothic/xanadu.nsf ] and let me know what you think.
BTW: this is friends only because this is basically a beta test. Don't go sharing the link far and wide - yet.
