Cooking with Gas

Well, turns out some more wiring is needed in the new apartment to bring it up to code. The electric stove has got to go and will be replaced with a gas stove. It will be a full-sized stove, not like the dinky thing in this apartment. The wiriing should be done this week, but since it will be a new gas line and meter that might not be finished in time. The plus side of this is that while I will still be starting to move things in this weekend and Elaine's moving day will still be the 8th, I'll still "officially" be here until the 15th. That eliminates the double-rent Elaine is stuck with and immediately means a few hundred extra toward her NYC fund. Janice is going to let me know what the full scoop is going to be with dates and such tomorrow, but it's all no big deal. Even if the gas isn't ready, this apartment isn't going to be rented right away so in an absolute worst case we'll have some things piled in the new apartment and living in this one. My only real concern is a smooth cut-over for the phone service and the servers. Right now that is scheduled for this Friday.
