Heh. Looks like we are the best thing that could have happened to Reptard, considering this adds up to 51.6% of referring links to his site. And then there is this:

Subject: Geocities - Your Data Transfer Status.WOW! There's so many of you scanning my site that it's going down a
lot again recently. Be sure to use the back-up and mirror sites if that
happens. Glad to know so many of you are busy scanning and thinking
about all this material that so many of us have put together for you.
that's the good news - an open and thinking mind. Bad news is I can't take all
this traffic. LOL. :D Sorry that my site is a Geocities.com free site,
but that's the best I can do right now, and like I always say, I'm no
webmaster really. Thank you all for your continued support.Take care.
Love,
Reptoid.

Subject: Your Data Transfer Status
Date: Thu, 28 Feb 2002 10:45:35 -0800 (PST)Dear GeoCities Member,
Your web site, http://www.geocities.com/reptoid_27
seems to have been receiving a large amount of traffic.
Our records indicate that you're using more than the allotted amount
of data transfer we provide for a free web site, which is 3 gigabytes
per month (measured on an hourly basis). That means that during the
past few days we had to temporarily turn your site off to keep the
bandwidth within this limit.Thank you for using Yahoo! GeoCities,

ROFL!! I've been testing some spidering programs and was pointing them at Purple's site just for the hell of it. I wonder what percent of his traffic came from my spiders, and, given the 51.6% referral rate from The Dark Conspiracy™ what percentage were people going in for a laugh. "Continued support"? I doubt it. I'm betting less than 10% of the traffic came from "supporters". I'd love to see a breakdown by IP...
Since Geocities dumps a site based on hourly traffic all a person has to do is transfer 4.2 Mb inside of one hour and the site is down for the rest of the hour. Purple has about 3 Mb of crap on his site so two passes with a spidering program an it is down for the rest of the hour. It takes about 2 minutes to do. Try it yourself, bookmark http://www.geocities.com/reptoid_27/Intersection.html in Internet Explorer, ticking the "Make available offline" option, synchonize a couple times et voila Geocities pulls the plug for an hour. Geocities sucks.
