I got the job at the City of Port Moody, they will be faxing me an offer today. I'll be CUPE (for my American friends, that would be the Canadian Union of Public Employees) whcih has it's pluses and minuses. I haven't been in a major union since I worked for the pulp mill (I'm not counting the useless union I was part of when working at the cinema).
Once again the fire alarm went off, this time wresting me from the shower as I was getting ready for work. And once again a false alarm. This time it was painters in the lobby setting off the particle sensor while sanding.
