Jessi on the absolutely silly and touristy pirate ships they have in the harbour at Thessaloniki. There are three of them. One was not in service this particular day, but could be seen on the other side of the harbour. The masts of the other one that was running can be seen behind Jessi. These things really don't make any sense other than being attractive to American tourists with kids. You catch them near the White Tower after dodging the scammers and beggars, which sounds bad, but really isn't any different than Gastown here in Vancouver in that regard. The ships are Disney "Pirates of the Caribbean" themed. We were on "The Black Pearl." How that relates to the harbour of Thessaloniki at the north end of the Aegean Sea is beyond me. Nonetheless, they are a good way to see the city from the water. They are "free" but you *must* buy at least one 12€ fruit drink. The drinks were refreshing, not worth the price on their own, but considered as the price for the 30-minute harbour cruise, fair enough.
