December 2017

So here it is, nearly 2018, and I am lounging with the kitten that used to sleep on my CRT while I used dial-up to access the Internet, as I watch videos, and take and post photos on my phone. Tharsis is a freaking old cat! (And, yes, that mason jar is full of rum and eggnog strong enough that I could probably set it on fire.)

Put one of the birthday buttons my coworkers made for my birthday on my old leather jacket before going out tonight. #2010olympics #internetfamous

Since the IRSC is almost finished some of the relandscaped areas are open. There is a new path beside the clock tower. Beside this path, hidden in what just looks like a hill from the other side, is this strange bunker. It has glass doors with curtains that have been closed every time I've walked by. Today the curtains were open and there is an organ keyboard inside. I guess the clock tower can do other things besides Westminster chimes and bonging out the hour.

Yesterday I was walking home with a couple bags of groceries. On the way I cross paths with a woman walking the other way. She is, apparently, staring at my grocery bag. I assume she is judging me for buying ice cream in sub-zero weather (from years of being made to feel guilty about ice cream by another woman.) Then, a few blocks later I remember what gloves I am wearing. #goth4life

Well... it jumped from oobleck to snowpocalypse in the blink of an eye. My bus wasn't too terribly late, but it is already slipping. Let's see if I get to work...

Not really "snow", more like mushy oobleck falling at the end of the earth. What chaos will ensue?
